Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2013 October

Hello!

Spent some late night crafting doing my tag for October.  I seem to craft so much better in the wee hours of the morning when it is dark outside and the house is quiet.

I love crafting this time of year.  The colors of fall and especially Halloween are my all-time favorite.  So of course I was looking forward to this month tag and the Distressed Glitter just made it all the more enjoyable.   To add to the enjoyment I had just received my new Tim Holtz stencil "Shatter" in the mail and couldn't wait to try it out.

For my background, I started with just laying down some Distress Stain.  I used Mustard Seed and applied various colors of ink until I achieved the look I liked.

Then simply added the Raven Blueprint stamp and some other back ground stamps.

Then used the new Shatter stencil.  You can see the Shatter in the background of the Raven.  I can safely say this is my new favorite stencil.

Honestly, after that I couldn't bring myself to cover it up so I didn't do a lot of embellishing on this tag.  I really did try to add more but every time I put something on the tag I frowned because it covered up the shatter so in the end I just left it plain.  LOL

I did the frame the same way Tim showed on his blog and inked the edges with a big of Black Soot.

So that is my take on this month tag.  Hope you enjoyed it!

Thanks Tim for another great tag and technique!

Happy Paper Cutting!
