Another awesome day in class. Gives me a new appreciation of Alcohol Inks. I didn't have any of the glossy card stock on hand and a quick trip to my local craft store didn't help any. So, I had to break the rules and try the techniques with glossy photo paper. I know Tim said it wouldn't work but I am a rebel crafter at heart. LOL And NO it doesn't work as well. LOL But I just couldn't wait for an order to arrive to try at least one of the techniques. I chose the Monoprint thinking it would be the most forgiving of the techniques. After several failed attempts, I at least got one to come out looking presentable.
I will definitely be putting an order in for some proper paper and revisiting the lessons from today!
On the sad/happy side of things, tomorrow I am leaving for The Crafty Scrapper in Waxahachie, TX for a great two day craft class where we will be doing the Christmas in the Hood Village project by Anita Houston. It was featured on Tim Holtz's blog and I have been waiting with great anticipation for this class. While this is the happy part; the sad part is while I will still be able to watch Tim's classes each day I will have to wait till I am back home to practice the techniques!

Happy Paper Cutting!
